Drone R&D, Anduril Industries
Complete research and development of a novel ornithopter that uses passive aeroelastic twist to achieve flight. Responsible for the design, analysis, and testing of the drivetrain and tail mechanism. Conducted multiple tests to correlate lift and drag to predicted values.
Summer 2023
Satellite Structures, SpaceX

Designed and manufactured a test setup to determine the maximum exclusion angle from the sun for star-tracking cameras. Created an inexpensive and effective solution that minimized straylight in the test environment. Analyzed and tested multiple components and systems necessary to transport the satellites to the launch site. Tested solar arrays for debris during deployment and analyzed the risks of potential debris.

Classified Robotics, Naval Research Laboratory

Designed numerous components to withstand high-static loads using a combination of FEA and rigorous hand calculations. Optimized the PID control loop and testing procedure of a hydraulic friction test bed. Measured and analyzed the coefficients of friction of various wheel materials and geometries for different surfaces the robot would travel over.

Summer 2021
Robotic Servicing of Geosynchronous Satellites,
Naval Research Laboratory

Improved functionality, data logging, and ease of use for a system that measures the charge bleed across the grapple tool of a robotic repair satellite. Used schematic designs, Arduino, and MATLAB to create an efficient testing mechanism with real time alerts while simultaneously logging data.

Summer 2020
Full-Stack Developer, Waffle Inc.

Cofounded and built a retail app using React Native and Xcode. Developed and deployed the user interface and backend for the app. Implemented Firebase for user authentication flow, AWS for metadata and data storage, and PayPal for peer to peer payment transactions. I organized weekly meetings, planned ambitious timelines, and met with lawyers throughout the apps development.

Teach advanced machining techniques and enforce strict practice of safety procedures. CNC and manual mill hundreds of parts for Mechanical Engineering classes.
